This is a beautiful solid brass decorative antique reproduction of an Armillary Sphere Sundial.
This sundial can actually tell time, but the vast majority of people use this sundial as a decoration inside
their home or office.
To determine the local time the Armillary Sphere's arrow points polar North and the gnomon casts a shadow onto
the equatorial band which is etched with Roman numerals.
The heavy solid brass base is mounted to a beautiful piece of turned solid hardwood, and the bottom
is covered with felt to protect your fine furniture.
The Armillary Sphere has a stable 5 1/4 inch (13.3 cm) base, and the sundial measures 6 3/8 inches (16.2 cm)
tall, the rings have a diameter of 4 inches (10.2 cm), and the sundial weighs 1 pound, 9.5 ounces (723 grams).
Custom Engraving is available around the brass base in curved arc-shaped
lettering.
