The Stanley London^® regular sized Boxed Compass is a beautiful reproduction of an antique brass British compass in a handsome brass-inlaid hardwood box.  The 4-inch (10 cm) compass is fully gimbaled with a solid brass gimbal set.  Either an air or liquid-damped compass card is available for this compass.  Both compass cards, each 2 3/4 inches (7 cm) in diameter, have a solid brass enclosure and are fully gasketed.  On the front of the felt-lined hardwood case is a brass slide clasp.  Also, the box's corners are inlaid with solid brass splines.  The case measures 6 inches (15.2 cm) square, 4 3/8 inches (11 cm) tall, and the boxed compass weighs 2 1/2 pounds (1.1 kg).  This compass is a beautiful addition to any nautical collection or executive's desk.
Custom brass plaques are available for the outside and/or the inside of the lid.  Note the inlaid brass diamond cannot be engraved.  We also offer a beautiful matching Gimbaled Boxed Clock.  A Smaller Gimbaled Boxed Compass and a Small Modern Fully Functional Brass Gimbaled Sailboat Compass are also available.

11-inch Gimbaled Boxed Compass

The Stanley London^® Large Boxed Compass is a beautiful felt-lined hardwood box that holds a reproduction of a large antique air-damped brass compass inside.  The 8-inch (20.3 cm) compass is fully gimbaled with a solid brass gimbal set.  The case is lightly distressed so it looks exactly like a 110 year old antique. 
The compass card is 6 inches (15.2 cm) in diameter, and the hardwood case measures 11 inches (27.9 cm) square and 6 7/8 inches (17.5 cm) tall.  The boxed compass weighs 10 pounds (4.6 kg).  This is a very large compass appropriate for store and restaurant displays, but is usually too large for a desk.  So please take note of these dimensions before ordering this large boxed compass.
