We are pleased to offer this beautiful brass compass in a solid mahogany hinged case.
The mahogany is protected by clear lacquer and hand-polished to a deep rich hard finish.
The bottom of the compass case is covered with felt.
The Mahogany Compass is 3 1/2 inches (8.9 cm) square, 1 3/4 inches (4.5 cm) tall, and weighs 6.4 ounces (181 grams).
Its hinged lid opens to reveal a 2-inch (5.1 cm) diameter air damped brass compass.
The compass is easily removable from the box and features a compass card and standard lensatic
glass bezel with two lines at 45 degree angles.
The bezel rotates with detents.
Custom brass plaques are available for the top or the front of the outside of the case,
and / or a larger 2 3/4 inch (7 cm) square plaque can be mounted on the inside lid of the compass.
