This Stanley London® solid brass Medium-Sized Pocket Compass is standard pocket
watch size, and is of better quality than the Miniature Pocket Compass,
but still fits easily in your pocket.
Like the Large Key Chain Compass, it has a small lever on the side
of the compass that operates a needle lift mechanism to protect the compass bearing.
The compass is the diameter of a standard pocket watch, measuring slightly over 1 3/4 inches (4.5 cm) in
diameter, 9/16 inch (1.5 cm) thick, and weighs 2.3 ounces (65 grams).
The compass is available either marked "Stanley London" on the lid, or plain with no engraving.
The plain version can be engraved on the outside of the lid, or the inside of the lid or back of either version can be engraved with your personalized inscription up to 32 words in a simple font like Times New Roman or up to 25 words in other fonts.
This compass is beautifully crafted from solid brass, and is offered either polished to a mirror-like shine
in an antique patina that looks like a 100-year-old compass, or brushed.
It is also available with a key chain, and
a larger version of this pocket compass is available.
We offer three solid brass pocket compass chains as an option for your compass.
These chains are specially made to be non-magnetic and will not effect the accuracy of your compass.
Each has a clasp on one end that attaches to the fob on the pocket compass, and the other end can be attached
to your pocket, belt, or button hole.
There are two different gold plated chains designed to compliment a polished brass pocket compass:
The Gold Plated Light Pocket Compass Chain is 14 3/4 inches (37.5 cm) overall, weighs 0.5 ounces (14 grams),
and costs $9.40;
The Gold Plated Heavy Pocket Compass Chain has larger links and is 14 inches (35.5 cm) overall, weighs 1.1
ounces (31 grams), and costs $10.50.
The Antique Brass Heavy Pocket Compass Chain has an antique patina and is designed to compliment the antique
finish compass.
The Antique Brass Heavy Pocket Compass Chain is 14 1/2 inches (36.8 cm) overall, weighs 1.0 ounce (28 grams),
and costs $9.80.
We also offer a less expensive Brass Scouting Pocket Compass,
the finer WW I Reproduction Pocket Compass and the
Dalvey Stainless Steel Pocket Compass.
The solid brass Medium Pocket Compass comes complete with a red velvet draw string pouch and
sells for only $20.
Additional red or black velvet pouches can be purchased for $1.50 each.
We offer a small hardwood case which features a handsome hand inlaid compass rose as an option for a display case. Each compass rose is unique and will have slight variations since they will be inlaid using similar hand tools to those used 200 years ago. The Small Hardwood Box with Inlaid Compass Rose is available for an additional $30.95.
