The survival compass includes a liquid-damped magnetic compass, a thermometer, and
an emergency whistle all in one compact unit.
The liquid-damped 1 3/8-inch (3.5 cm) diameter compass movement settles rapidly for
quick and accurate readings.
The survival compass is made of durable translucent blue plastic and has a straight
edge for orienting a map.
The thermometer reads from -20 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
A loud and piercing tone is created by the whistle and can be heard for long distances.
Also, to allow for fast access, the survival compass has a 31-inch (79 cm) lanyard and can be worn around the neck or fastened to a
floatation vest or a backpack.
