The sextant is an instrument for measuring the angle of a celestial body above the horizon.  By noting the exact time of the observation, a line of position can be established.  Two or more such observations of different celestial bodies lead to a determination of position (latitude and longitude).
This beautiful Sterling Silver Miniature Sextant Pendant has an index arm that actually moves like a real sextant.  The fine sextant pendant bears the hallmark of noted British silversmith David Moseley and weighs 0.2 ounces (6.5 grams), measures 1 1/16 inches (27 mm) wide and is 1 inch (25 mm) tall.  The back of the sextant is stamped "925" to designate the quality Sterling Silver content.  Our Sterling Silver Sextant Pendant comes in a handsome hinged gift box. Sorry, this sextant pendant cannot be custom engraved.
