This elegant Navy Boarding Cutlass is polished to a superb finish and features a comfortable, ridged
hardwood grip.
During the 19th century, the Navy used the Boarding Cutlass as an efficient and effective
fighting tool when boarding enemy ships.
The Navy Boarding Cutlass is of higher quality than the above Naval Cutlass, and
it features a more detailed grip design and a longer blade.
Hand protection is provided by a polished brass basket complete with a beautiful image of a ship's anchor.
Overall, the cutlass measures 31 3/4 inches (80.6 cm) and weighs 2 pounds 5 ounces (1.1 kg).
Near the grip of the cutlass, the blade measures 1 1/8 inches (2.9 cm) wide and 3/16 inch (.5 cm) thick.
The tempered high carbon steel blade is 25 5/8 inches (65.1 cm) long and can be
custom engraved with a maximum of three lines of text.
Please specify the desired location and orientation of the engraving when ordering.
Also, note that the cutlass cannot be shipped with a sharpened blade, however, you can easily sharpen the blade
yourself.
The cutlass is accompanied by a black leather scabbard with solid brass accents that weighs an additional
7 ounces (.2 kg).
The Navy Boarding Cutlass with a leather and brass scabbard is available for only $149.
We also carry a less expensive Naval Cutlass,
a similar U.S. 1860 Naval Cutlass, U.S. Naval Officer's Cutlass and a Naval French Cutlass.
