This is our new Stanley London® premium quality clear-coated solid brass refractor telescope
mounted on a solid mahogany tripod.
Unlike the inexpensive 8 - 12 power decorative versions made from thin 0.8 mm brass, these telescopes use the
highest quality 32-power precision coated optics and are made with dent-resistant heavy 1.2 mm thick brass.
The telescope produces a sharp 32-power upright (non-inverted) image through the use of precision ground coated
achromatic glass optics.
For many years, mariners have found 32-power to be the ideal balance between magnification and field of view.
Also, the brass features a vapor deposition clear coating that prevents the brass from tarnishing and the brass
never requires polishing.
Rotating a large adjusting ring near the eyepiece of the telescope will allow for the focusing of an image.
To reduce glare, a sunshade serves to protects the objective lens.
Contrast is improved by coating flat black on the inside of the telescope.
The telescope is 44 inches (112 cm) long, 2 3/4 inches (7.0 cm) in diameter, has a tube outside diameter of 2
inches (5.1 cm), and an objective lens diameter of 50 mm (2 inches).
The telescope is mounted on one of two different heavy solid castings and a solid mahogany tripod.
We offer this telescope with either the standard mount or the elegant arc-shaped mount.
Note that the telescope and tripod are the same in both versions, only the mount between the telescope
and tripod is different.
The maximum height of the telescope is 63 inches (160 cm) and it can be collapsed to a height of 39 inches
(99 cm).
The standard mount telescope with tripod weighs 18.6 pounds (8.5 kg) and the arc mount telescope with tripod
weighs 19.1 pounds (8.8 kg).
The telescope can be removed from the tripod witout difficulty, and the tripod collapses efficiently for compact
storage.
Custom engraving near the eyepiece of the telescope is available with
up to two short lines of text, such as a name and a date.
Additionally, the main tube of the telescope can be engraved with artwork, a logo, or one to four longer lines
of text.
Due to the large width of the engravable area, we suggest engraving full names rather than monograms or initials.
These heavy solid brass telescopes are perfect for your office, near a view window, or for celestial
observations.
The 44-inch Premium Harbormaster Telescope with standard mount sells for $599 and the arc-shaped mount
is an additional $100.
We also offer a less expensive 44-inch Brass Telescope on Teak Tripod
and a larger Clear-Coated 55 inch 32x60 Harbormaster Telescope
on a Mahogany Tripod.
