Full Description:
This is a beautiful four-inch radius solid brass reproduction of a Titanic lifeboat sextant.  The sextant has four swing-arm filters, and a slow motion control to allow fine adjustment of the index arm.  The index arm is engraved "White Star Line, R.M.S. Titanic" with a serial number.  Only 100 of these limited edition R.M.S. Titanic sextants have been made, and each one has a unique serial number.  The index mirror can be fully adjusted using three brass screws.  A built-in magnifier can be swung into position to assist in reading the German Silver vernier scale.  There is a solid hardwood handle on the back of the sextant.  The telescope has polished glass lenses and can be focused to produce a sharp magnified erect image.  This reproduction sextant is fully functional but not intended for navigation.  The sextant measures 4 3/4 inches (12.1 cm) tall, 5 inches (12.7 cm) wide, 2 3/4 inches (7.0 cm) deep, and weighs 1 pound, 3 ounces (530 grams).

The sextant comes with a beautiful velvet lined hardwood storage and display box that has fitted cut-outs to securely hold the sextant.  The front of the hardwood case has a latch to keep the box closed.  Custom brass plaques are available for the outside of the case, inside the lid, or both.  The case measures 7 inches (17.8 cm) square and 4 1/8 inches (10.5 cm) tall, and weighs 2 pounds, 5 ounces (1.0 kg).  The outside of the box has a solid brass plaque engraved "RMS Titanic, White Star Line, Nautical Sextant" with the matching serial number.  The limited edition Titanic, White Star Line 4-inch Brass Sextant including hardwood case comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.
